In the picture, the first ingredient says butter. In the description, the second ingredient says butter. Yet, in neither allergen section does it say “contains dairy”. Is it real butter? Is it a plant based alternative? It’s frustrating that dairy is a major allergen, yet it is pervasive in our foods and it isn’t properly labeled when a food item contains it.
Nevertheless, I hear this Crawfish Étouffée tastes amazing.

Omg! This was a huge flavor bomb. So much flavor. Tasted like I was back in Louisiana. And the crawfish were plentiful and tender. Everything was perfect. I made mine a little thicker bc that’s how I like it.

We got these donated as part of a UT org (Texas 4000 for Cancer). This was the best tasting camping meal I've ever had. 11/10, would eat again, possibly for a normal dinner.

I had this on a recent trip to Big Bend and it was legitimately the BEST meal I had during the entire trip, including restaurant meals. My friends couldn't believe it was a rehydrated meal. And I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of protein squeezed into this vegetarian dish. Sooo good and I will definitely be repurchasing!

One of the best backcountry meals I've ever had! I bought two of these for a 10 day trip and saved the second for the last night as a treat to myself. The flavor was delicious and it was so hearty with the grits. I shared some of it with my friends and they commented how good it was. I love that you can actually read the ingredient list (real food and not additives) and it had garnishes. I will be buying more from Bowl & Kettle for future trips. Thanks for making quality meals. I tried this meal after seeing it featured on Miranda Goes Outside. I have only recently started eating Indian food, and when I learned about this meal
I had to try it. I wondered if a freeze dried version of what has become one of my favorite dishes could possibly hold up. I tried it out on a recent trip in The Linville Gorge in North Carolina after a long strenuous day of hiking. The verdict was that it was hands down the BEST pre-packaged backpacking meal I have ever eaten. It was on the spicier side, but that is to be expected with tikka masala and I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to try the other meals made by this company. Well done Bowl and Kettle.

This was absolutely amazing! So filling and flavorful, looks appetizing too which is not always the case with freeze dried meals. Pouch stays upright and is easy to close after filling with water, plus it’s not too hard to handle. Just purchased three more

I have tried 2 of the three meals offered. The street corn and grits was fine, but not something I’d get again. The Tikka Masala has become one of my favorite backpacking meals and will continue to be a staple on our trips! It’s packed with flavors, the right thickness for the curry, and rehydrates better than most backpacking meals!

Took this Chicken Tikka Masala on a one night outing and I just can not say enough good about it. The tast the texture was all spot on.

So I was amazed! Im from New Orleans and was pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend!!!

All of these meals make for a delicious and creative eating experiences that I didn't think we're possible in the freeze dried market. You can tell that there is a lot of thought and care put into their products and I'm looking forward to whatever other creations they make.
