I was excited to see a vegetarian option in the lineup! The flavor of this meal is so complex that it definitely doesn't feel like a backpacking meal. It has a smoky flavor that was a bit strong for my palate but it rehydrated well. I'd love to see more vegetarian varieties added, maybe like a Chana Masala, because everything from this lineup is beyond standards!
As a vegetarian, it can be difficult to find tasty backpacking meals that don't include meat. So when I saw this one I was super excited to try. Its rich and creamy with tons of flavor to the point where I forgot I was even eating a backpacking meal. Definitely going to purchase again.
